International Research appointment – cxpartners and the BBC

Late in 2015 the BBC put out a call for agencies to join a new BBC Digital Design roster. Their aim was simple – to partner with a group of agencies who could deliver real value to their organisation by increasing the quality of their design research and providing fresh creative input.

The work will improve existing digital products such as BBC iPlayer, BBC News and BBC Bitesize as well as developing exciting new products and services.

What the BBC wanted

Much of the assessment was based on a research brief, and the responses we saw from all the agencies that we invited to tender were interesting, engaged and inspiring. We were able to select an extremely talented roster with a wide diversity of capabilities, backgrounds and approaches, said Gemma Newell, BBC's Creative Director for Design Research.

Given our focus on quality of research we were encouraged to hear from the off that the BBC were looking for a partner with quality embedded in their ethos. And so we're absolutely delighted to be appointed as BBC International Research specialist. The BBC is a world-renowned organisation and we're thrilled that they recognised our ever increasing international capabilities.

International users

The BBC has a global reach and a diverse range of users. Their news, programmes and services are enjoyed all over the world. Understanding and designing for users in international contexts is challenging yet exciting. We can’t wait to begin and collaborate with the BBC.
