World usability day: Including players in the game design process
To celebrate World usability day, we are running a group discussion on game usability. Looking at what’s been tried, what works and what the future holds.

Steve is the co-author of Communicating the User Experience. A book he wrote with Richard Caddick based on all the practical knowledge he has gained working in the user experience field since 2007.
He is a creative at heart so loves coming up with new interface ideas and rapidly working them into wireframes and prototypes.
Steve has worked on many big design projects for clients like Moneysupermarket, the Trainline.com, LOVEFiLM and Charles Tyrwhitt (Winner of the eCommerce award for redesign of the year 2011)
He has an educational background in media, focusing on story telling with multimedia. He is also a video game nut who loves to design and test games. (as well as play them) So loves running games testing projects for clients like Peugeot and Future lab.
In his spare time Steve is usually doodling, illustrating and animating all the odd ideas that pop into his head. Steve tries to recapture his youth by playing his old Gameboy. But mostly he’s trying to learn how to be a Dad.
Steve’s highest score on Tetris is 128,148
