We think so. In fact we’re pretty proud of how smart our prototyping is these days. And it’s been proven to work. Helping our clients win awards and treble their sales.

Our prototypes are our key project document. We pore over them and work with the entire project team to make sure what we’re working on is not only beautifully usable, but also meets the project goals and can be technically implemented.

Informed by users, designed by experts

The task analysis will have informed us about the user behaviour and given us a good idea of how different elements of a journey need to be slotted together.

Sharing a sketch in a notebook or on a whiteboard at an early stage is far more useful to our clients than working for a month behind closed doors.

We’ll then start to look at the content of the site and how it can best fit together. Is there a narrative that can be followed to help a user find their way through the site? Customer journey mapping can help reveal this.

Surely it’s too early to be thinking about SEO and accessibility?

The best time to think about SEO and accessibility is at the prototyping stage. We take our knowledge of both areas and show how pages and elements need to be put together to be found by search engines and used by disabled customers.
