Wireframe development

Wireframes are greyscale plans showing the structure of a webpage’s content

We take pride in the quality of our wireframe designs and our ability to tailor their appearance and content to meet our client’s needs.

Use wireframes to bring your site to life

Wireframes are used to communicate a lot of information between the diverse stakeholder groups working on a website or application.

Wireframes allow project and product managers, designers and developers to see what a site is going to look like and how it should behave.

cxpartners use workshops to help all parties gain an understanding of the site and give their input into the site’s development.

Keeping users in mind

cxpartners have extensive knowledge of usable design built up through conducting hundreds of usability and eye tracking studies. This enables us to create usable wireframes from the outset.

cxpartners will also feed in any requirements uncovered through previous research with your customers, this may be through prior usability or depth interviews, surveys or analytics. In fact the more research we can get our hands on, the better a solution we can give.

Our wireframe documentation

cxpartners are really proud of the documents we provide our clients with.

Typically our documents will include:

  • A task flow model showing where a user is in a process
  • The wireframe design including navigation layout, heading structure, content requirements and functionality
  • Annotations describing functionality or requirements
  • HTML code snippets illustrating how the page should be built for accessibility
  • Content recommendations

Which pages to wireframe?

Typically cxpartners create wireframes for all key templates used on the site. The templates are then referenced against a sitemap or content plan for ease of implementation.

The templates can be supplemented by user journey wireframes. These take the templates and populate them with content for defined user journeys through the site. This is a really nice way to check that the wireframes match the desired user journeys on the site.

Built-in SEO and accessibility

TIP: Ethical SEO Get the right users to your site using ethical SEO.cxpartners detail information that designers and content managers need when they come to implement the new site.

Ethical SEO and accessibility recommendations are incorporated to help create a more persuasive site.

Specifying SEO and accessibility at this stage in a site’s development avoids requirements having to be fitted retrospectively, which can be costly, difficult and is at risk of not happening altogether.

Validating wireframes

cxpartners always recommend validating wireframes with the intended audience. It is quicker and cheaper to make changes to wireframes than it is to design or build a site.
